| Around the
Corner
| In 1998 Steve wrote "Around the Corner that's
Where my Friends Are". I am unsure of the original intent as
we never discussed this writing however, Steve appears to be
reminiscing of earlier times gone by and how some friendships get
lost along the way. |

| The Freeze of
1999
| In 1999 we had a heavy snowfall followed by
lots of freezing rain. This resulted in the loss most of our
Cedar trees; they were bent over flat to the ground. It also
caused damage to many other trees on the property. The winter
of 99 was the inspiration for this writing in January 2000.

| Brothers
| Anyone who knew Steve can tell you that when he
thought a point needed to be made, he wasn't shy about making it.
This December of 2002 musing had to have been brought on by
something....brothers, help me out with this one. |

| No Finer Home
| Steve lived and worked in Yellowstone National
Park in 1989. He was passionate about the beauty and majesty
of Yellowstone. His wish was to have his ashes cast into the wind
from Lookout Point after he passed on. I promised that I would do
everything in my power to ensure that his wish was followed.
In 2004 Steve wrote "No Finer Home". |

| An Endless Memory
| On March 1, 2004, Alaska, Steve's faithful
Malamute companion passed away. Alaska had a fiercely free
spirit and instincts of the wild. These traits reminded Steve
of the freedom and independence of the Yellowstone gray wolves.
After Alaska's passing, Steve wrote this Ode to Alaska, An Endless
Memory. |

| Dear Doggies
| Written in April of 2004 I think Steve made this
one very clear as to its inspirational characters and origin. |

In Our Hearts there will always be a Yellowstone
| Steve's love of Yellowstone, its open spaces,
natural beauty and feeling of freedom caused him to put pen to paper
one last time on January 11, 2007. |
